Castle View is the Crème de la Crème of Lancaster Holiday Cottages – and don’t just take our word for it!
Just a year ago, Castle View first opened its doors to guests after fourteen months of rigorous planning, designing and building in the hopes of becoming a modern and homely holiday cottage. And, judging by the wave of many good reviews and five star ratings the cottage boasts on Airbnb, along with many bookings from countries all over the world (America, Australia, China and Malaysia to name just a few), it is safe to say that the effort put into the making of it has certainly paid off!

With design features such as a copper bath, a mini kitchen unit, log burner and unique “bed in a cupboard”, this cottage drips with state of the art quirks and beautiful rustic touches. And with all the positive reviews received online, it certainly wasn’t hard to find out that our guests love the cottage just as much as us. Becky wrote: “we have been raving about our stay since we have got home!” Whilst another guest, Sam, says that: “(Jenny) truly has thought of everything! From electric blinds for you to have a proper lazy morning, to a big copper bath to relax in the evening.” And Sam’s review isn’t the only one which sings praises of the cottage’s interior design and furnishings. Julie writes: “Everything is of a very high quality-from the bedding to the copper bath to the kitchen appliances.” Many of our reviewers also commend us for providing free bottles of prosecco, homemade bubble bath and coffee.
Not only do our guests enthuse over the actual cottage, but also it’s great location. “The location was perfect, nestled in a secluded oasis at the heart of Lancaster (…) the cottage is a few minutes walk from the train station and shopping areas!” Christi says. Lancaster is home to several restaurant chains and big-brand shops, as well as its own local, unique cafés and stores to be discovered just a stone’s throw away from the doorstep of Castle View. And of course Castle View’s namesake, the iconic Lancaster Castle, is just moments away from the property. If history is your thing, the castle is definitely worth a visit.

We have also been awarded the ‘Superhost’ status on Airbnb, and have received many compliments in the reviews. One of our guests Richard tells us: “Jenny was an excellent host, communication was great and I always had a quick response.” It’s extremely important to Jenny that you enjoy your stay as much as possible, and I assure you she will put your comfort and satisfaction as a top priority and will always be a warm, inviting host to guests in Castle View.
