The Lake District national park is England’s largest National Park and is now a World Heritage Site, home to Scafell Pike – its highest mountain, Wastwater – its deepest lake and thriving communities like Keswick, Ambleside and Bowness-on-Windermere. Whether you’re a mountain climber or a visitor of quaint village shops, you’ll find plenty to see and do in the Lakes.

With regular trains from your doorstep to Windermere (40 mins) or Oxenholme (15 mins), Castle View is a great base for a holiday in the North West of England when including the Lake District in your itinery. If you’re travelling by car you can be in the heart of the Lake District within 40 minutes.
